Layered Stamping

Hello,

I was organizing my crafting supplies and rediscovered a stamp I had purchased last year and had yet to use.  It’s the “My Best Friend” stamp by Simon Says Stamp and Clearly Besotted.  I just love how easy it was to use.  I was a little intimidated, but after I did a practice set of flowers, I was able to make this card in less than 30 minutes!

I usually prefer to make bright and colorful cards, but a subdued, neutral card has been rolling around in my head for a couple of weeks now so I decided to try it. I am very happy with the results. Although I am almost done with a bright card and will post soon.

I used Altenew inks to stamp the images.  As you can see, they are warm gray colors.  I used Evening Gray, Moon Rock and Lava Rock for the flowers and Mornign Frost and Evening Gray on the leaves.  I used the sentiment from the stamp set and embossed it with Ranger Detail Gold embossing powder.  I used the MFT Die-namic Inside Out Diaganol Stitched Rectangle dit to cut out the image,  This is really becoming my favorite die.  It finishes off the card without detracting from the images.  I finished off with some Clear 4mm drops and 6mm sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

I am entering this card into the SSS Wednesday Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoy your day!
