Meh-ness

It’s April…and we all know what that means…more snow to crush our spirits.  The snow had just melted away from my flower and vegetable beds and that night, we received four inches.  We are getting 3 to 5 more inches right now.  I am feeling “meh”.

Current snow pile in my back yard. Heavy sigh.

To commemorate the swift kick in the pants Mother Nature just gave us, I made a card.  I did some ink blending, stamping and die cutting using @simonsaysstamp and @czdesign products.

Bubble Tracker and Meh from Simon Says Stamp and CZ Design

I started out by stamping Bubble Tracker from Simon Says Stamp randomly over my Bristol Smooth Cardstock.  This stamp is amazing, you can make it look like Honey-combs, a trellis for floral cards or just as a random pattern that can go with almost anything.  I embossed the stamping with WOW! White embossing powder.  I then blended Simon Says Stamp inks in Fog, Slate and Smoke across the card panel. I cut the Mehs out of scrap cardstock, using four layers for the large Meh, three layers for the middle Meh and two layers for the upper Meh.

Mehing

I used Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Ink on the first Meh and on the upper half of the middle Meh.  I used Distress Oxide Ink in Carved Pumpkin on the bottom half of the middle Meh and the large Meh. I cut out my card panel using the MFT Die-Namics Inside Out Diaganol Stitched Rectangle Die.  I stamped Boo from the Simple Sentiments Stamp Set from Simon Says Stamp and used Multi Medium in Matte to attach to my card panel. I attached the card panel to a side fold, A2 sized card base.  To add embellishments would have taken away from the theme of the card, so I controlled my need to add shine.

Thanks for stopping by.  I promise not to gripe about the weather for a couple of weeks.
