I like most card makers struggle with masculine birthday cards. If I have a person in mind, it is easier for me to make a card. But to create cards to have on hand is something I am working to improve on.
Today, I made some quick cards using the Simon Says Stamp Line Dance stencil, Distress Oxide inks and a sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp Brush Stroke Messages stamp set.
For the fitst card, I took Neenah Solar White card stock and cut it down using the largest Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle Die. I taped the panel to my work surface with some Scotch Post-It Tape. I taped the Line Dance stencil to the top of my panel with the same tape.
I used Distress Oxide Inks in Evergreen Bough, Peacock Feathers and Spiced Marmalade to add color to the panel. I used my Ink Duster stencil brush to apply the color. I also have Clarity Stencil brushes and I have to say, I prefer the Clarity. I stamped the sentiment using Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink in my MISTI. I added the card panel to a top folding card base.
For my second card, I used the same products, just different colors of Distress Oxide Inks. I also masked off the stencil and used the section I have nick named Pokemon Ball. I applied the ink with my Fantastix.
The Distress Oxide colors I used are Salty Ocean, Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio. I applied the ink with my Fantasix, masking off the section with Post It tape.
I stamped the same sentiment on some vellum using Intense Black Ink and clear embosse using WOW embossing powder. I added Nuvo Crystal Drops in Green Apple and added the panel to my card base.
Thank you for stopping by. Hope to see you soon!
