Hi! I am so happy to finally have some creative time and blog time; that has not happened in months!
Today I am sharing a card I made my for my friend Jen, We can talk about anything at any time and it can definitely take a weird turn to anyone who is listening. But that’s what girlfriends do. We talk about anything.
I am adoring the new @simonsaysstamp Strangeness Stamp and die set. I had received a gift card to Simon some months ago and finally used it instaed of my debit card. The flowers are gorgeous and the Swallows are so darling!
I started out using Canson Watercolor paper. I stamped the flower bunch using Versamark ink and embossed it using WOW white embossing powder.
I colored the flowers and leaves using my Tombow markers. I used 837 for the large flowers plus 676 and 755 for the smaller flowers. I used 249 and 245 on the leaves. I used 526 for the blue areas around the flowers. I used my Arteza waterbrush pen to move the ink around. I like my Tombows as much if not more then my Zig Real Brush Pens. The color was so easy to move and shade for someone who is newer to this.
For the background, I used Distress Oxides in Hickory Smoke and Mermaid Lagoon. I just randomly made circles with the applicators until I was satisfied with the blending. I then spritz with water and dabbed off after 15 seconds or so.
I used the co-ordinating die to cut out the flowers and attached to the panel using foam tape. I cut everything down to 4inches by 5.25 inches and stamped the sentiment with Versafine ink. I attached the entire panel to a side fold card base and added clear Nuvo Crystal Drops.
