New Year, New Post…

Happy New Year!  I hope this year brings you much happiness!

So… I found this stamp set from the Stamp Market that I completely adore.  I have stamped out most of the stamps to color and add to cards.  I completed one card that I want to share.B0616CF2-4278-417D-B12B-DAFE6846E8F1I used the cluster of flowers and greenery at the top to create my card.  The stamp is so well illustrated that it shows you where to shade it.

I started coloring with my Copics, when my marker started dripping on me. It was my RV 66 dripping.  I also used RV55 and RV34 for the flower and B24, YG17, YG23 and YG05 on the leaves.  I used C1 and C2 for the drop shadow.

There was a big blob on the flower, then I had drips off to the side before I took the cap off the other end that pressurized my marker and made the dripping stop.

To fix the blob, I colored over it with my RV55 to help dilute the color.  Then I decided to try something I had not done before: color over it with colored pencils.  It worked!

I used my Polychromos colored pencils. For the deepest shadows, I used Dark Indigo 157 for the deepest shadows, Magenta133, Crimosn 134, Pink Madder Lake 129 and Light Magenta 119 for the flowers. Burnt Sienna 283 and Bistre 179 for the stems and Dark Red 225 with white for the berries.

White embossing powder.  I mounted it on some 120lb Recollections white card stock and my card was completed.

Thank you for stopping by.  I wish you many blessings this year!
