Welcome to another frigid day in January! It is currently 8 degrees. I did take the dog on a quick walk, but now I am back inside with some tea and ready to blog.
Today’s card features the fun Bouquet of Hearts stamp from Pink Fresh Studio. I stamped on my favorite kraft, Catherine Pooler’s Sand Dune Kraft card stock and colored with my Polychromos colored pencils.
I stamped the image on kraft card stock with Ink on 3 Clear Embossing ink. I left the stamp in my MISTI, so I could stamp over it once I had completed my coloring.
For the red hearts, I first used my white colored pencil. I then did ombré coloring in the heart using Rose Carmine 124, Pink Madder Lake 129 and Fuchsia 125. For the pink hearts, I used the white first as well, then used Light Magenta 119, Pink Carmine 127 and Madder 142.
For the blue portion, I used Prussian Blue 245 and Bluish Turqoise 149. For the dress and shoe’s, I used Middle Purple Pink 125 and Light Purple Pink 128. For the skin, I used Light Flesh 132 and Cinnamon 169.
Once I finished coloring, I put my card panel back in my MISTI and restamped with Ink on 3 Clear Embossing ink. I used Ranger Super Fine Detail Gold embossing powder and heat set the image. I then fussy cut it out.
I stamped the background using the same stamp and embossing ink on kraft card stock and embossed withWOW Opaque Bright White super fine embossing powder. I used Distress Oxide inks in Festive Berries, Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar to create the ombré background.
I cut the background and velum layer out using Simon Says Stamp stitched rectangle dies. I colored in some of the background hearts with Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen in Pink Garnett and Red Berry. I adhered everything, using Pop Dots Foam adhesive on the colored image.
I added Hero Arts Ruby sequins and some hearts from Recollections. I adhered the card panel onto a top fold card base of Neenah and then remembered to add the sentiment. I used the Simon Says Stamp Tiny Words stamp for my sentiment and Versafine black ink for the sentiment along with Wow black embossing powder.
I hope you enjoyed this card project. Below is a picture of what my dog, Dudley did while I was crafting. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!
