Hello,
I hope everyone who has been affected by the snow storm has been able to dig out! It is so strange that I live in Minnesota and can see my grass and south of here, they have 10 inches of snow. I do miss the snow!
Today I am sharing a cheerful card in “Valentine” colors. It was a quick card to make, I love the impact partial coloring has on stamped images.
I stamped the image on Simon Says Stamp Slate card stock. I used SSS slate dye ink on the Medallion Background Stamp and stamped the image twice using my MISTI. I knew when I started the card that I wanted the petals to be a light pink which led me to using my Prisma Color colored pencils.
The Prisma Color colored pencils I used for this image are white, PC 1014, PC 993, PC 923, PC 926 and PC 994.
I colored the petals and decided that I needed to color a little more of the image. I colored the border of the petals and spent a while trying to decide if I needed to do more.
I decided to do the hearts as well, and then stopped there.
I added Pretty Pink Posh pink crystals and stamped and embossed Simon Says Stamp Simple Sentiments #1 for the sentiment and heart. I heat embossed the sentiments with Hero Arts Gold embossing powder.
I trimmed about 1/8th of an inch off 3 sides and added the card panel to a white card base and called it a day.
Thank you for stopping by. Enjoy your week!
Patty
