Perfect Pearl Backgrounds

Today I have a pair of cards for you using Perfect Pearls and Catherine Pooler stamps from the new “Adoring You” Stamp of Approval.  Making backgrounds with Perfect Pearls is quick, easy and fun.

For my first card, I went with the Pearl colored Perfect Pearls and some Simon Says Stamp Soft Navy Cardstock.  I stamped the entire panel with Versamark clear sticky ink and then brushed the Perfect Pearls all over my card panel, heavier in some areas and lighter in others.  I like it when a bit of navy shows through the background.

I then put my card panel into my MISTI and arranged the key holes from @catherinepoolers The Key stamp set.  I stamped the stamps with Versamark sticky ink to lift some of the Perfect Pearls off of my background.  I wiped the stamps, applied Versamark again and stamped.  There is a lot of detail on these stamps so I needed to lift the pearl off of the background several times so the detail would show through.

I stamped some of the images from the set on vellum and heat embossed them using Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder.  I cut them out and added them to my background.  I cut a frame out of glitter paper using Simon Says Stamp framed die and rounded the corners.

I added my sentiment on to the scrap navy cardstock and embossed with the same embossing powder.  I added Nuvo Crystal Drops in the Silver Moon Dust color by my sentiment and on opposite corners of my card.

I added my card panel to a top folding white card base and that finished this card.

For my next card, I used the same Soft Navy cardstock and cut my panel out with Simon Says Stamp Wonky Stitched Rectangle dies. I smooshed Versamark ink all over the panel and I added gold Perfect Pearls to the background.  I again put my background into my MISTI and inked up Catherine Pooler Love Note Background stamp.

I stamped it on my card panel and lifted off the Perfect pearls with the stamp.  I only did it once, I really liked the soft effect this gave.

My sentiment is from the Catherine Pooler Happy Together stamp set.  I stamped it on vellum and used Hero Arts Gold embossing powder.  I cut it out using My Favorite Things  Stitched Circle Dies.  I adhered the sentiment to my card panel using Tombow Mono Multi Glue and put Simon Says Stamp Summer Gold Sequins over the top the glue spots.  I scattered a few more sequins on the card panel. Finally, I added my panel to a top folding card base.

Thank you for stopping by today.  Hope January is treating you well.

See you soon!

Patty
