Getting Three Separate Looks From a Background Stamp

Hello all! I hope you are having a wonderful week.

Today I am sharing 3 cards that I made using the Doodle Garden Background Stamp from Catherine Pooler.

The first two cards I made using Prismacolor colored pencils. I used the same colors on both. One was created on Catherine Pooler Sand Dune card-stock and one was created on 80lb Recollections card-stock.

I stamped both panels with the Doodle Garden Stamp using Versamark sticky ink. I heat embossed both card panels with Hero Arts Gold embossing powder. I cut both card panels out with Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle dies. I also cut a circle out of the Sand Dune card-stock.

I colored the card panels using Prismacolor pencils in the following colors:

Greens: PC 109, 913, 912, 1005, 989, 1006 and 920.

Blues: PC133, 103, 903, 105, 1088, 905 and 1021

Yellow & Orange: PC 915, 916, 917, 922, 921 and 1032.

I popped up the frame edge using 3M foam tape. I adhered the card panel and then popped up the circle with my 3M foam tape as well. I die cut the sentiment using Catherine Pooler’s Wonderful die cut. I covered it in Versamark ink and Hero Arts Gold Embossing powder. I heat set it and added it to my card panel.

For the white panel, I colored using the same pencils and then die cut the sentiment Celebrate out of the panel. I then smeared some scrap white card-stock with Mandarin Spice ink and cut that with the Celebrate sentiment.

I inlaid the sentiment and added my card panel to a teal top folding card base.

For the final card, I stamped white card-stock with the Doodle Garden Stamp using Simon Says Stamp Black Ink. I cut the panel with a large and small rectangle. I colored the small rectangle using Catherine Pooler blue inks: Stone Blue, It’s a Boy, Day Dream, Juniper Mist, Something Borrowed, Suede Shoes, Sky Light, Fiesta Blue and Aquatini.

I have a new favorite color combo, Fiesta Blue and Aquatini!

I turned this into a shaker card and added Peacock Ombré Sequins from Hero Arts. I added the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp/CZ Designs Simple Sentiments, heat embossing it with Recollections Snow embossing powder on a piece of scrap black card-stock. I added Aquamarine gems from Pretty Pink Posh and added my card panel to a white card base.

I hope you enjoyed todays post. Thanks for stopping by and I will see you soon.

Patty
