Hi everyone! Today I am sharing a card I made using only die cuts. I have a customer whose granddaughters love coming to visit us. They like to look at pictures of my dog and brought us cookies during a snow day last week. So I made them a thank you that looks like my Dudley.
I decided to make this card for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. I used Fog card stock and inked it with Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke and Catherine Poolers Midnight Ink. I used Simon Says Stamp Big Picture Book Labrador and Big Picture Book Big Body to cut Dudley out of the card stock. I used Distress Oxides for the background in Faded Jeans and Salty Ocean for the sky. I used Lucky Clover and Pine Needles for the grass. I cut the background out using Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle and Stitched Hillside Borders.
I cut the clouds out of scrap white card stock using Simon’s Plush Country Sheep die, the butterflies are from Simon’s Flickering Butterfly Circle and the hearts Dudley is holding are from Simon’s Plush Button Egg dies. Finally, I used Simon’s Big Thanks die for the sentiment. I used glossy accents on Dudley’s nose to make it shiny and wet, which is how his nose usually is.
It was so fun to make a card for a 7 year old!
My muse. This is my 8 year old puppy, Dudley.
Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you soon!
