Hello all,
For todays cards, I used Simon Says Stamp Star Flower stamp and my Prisma Colored Pencils along with Heffy Doodles Hugs Die.
These cards were just colored dark to light, I did not do any special shading. They are very easy and relaxing to make. I could see doing this in pinks and whites and using it for Valentines Day.

To start, I stamped on two different cardstocks. 80lb white cardstock and 80lb gray cardstock. I used Versamark Ink and embossed both pieces with Hero Arts Gold embossing powder.
For the red version, I used Hot Pink PC 993, Carmine Red PC 026, Process Red PC 994, Raspberry PC 1030, Crimson Red PC 924, Mulberry PC 995, Pink PC 930, Permanent Red, PC 122, Magenta PC 930, Pomegranate PC 195, Copenhagen Blue PC 906, Denim Blue PC 1101, Periwinkle PC 1025 and finally, Carribean PC1103.
For each of the designs, I used the darkest color at the base of each design, then the mid-color and then the lightest. I did this for each section. I colored the cardstock with my C3 Copic to help the colors pop. I used the Copic Colorless Blender to move some of the ink around to give it depth.
For the blue version, I used Aquamarine PC 905, Cobalt Turquoise PC 105, Light Aqua PC 992, Indigo Blue PC 901, Copenhagen Blue PC 906, Indanthione Blue PC 208, Denim Blue PC 1101, Periwinkle PC 1025, Blue Vilet Lake PC 1079, Mediterranean Blue PC 1022, Blue Slate PC 1024, and Carribean Sea PC 1103. Each one took about an hour and a half.
To finish the cards, I trimmed down each panel to 3.75” x 5.0”. I then cut out the “Hugs” sentiment 4 times with scrap white cardstock. I stamped one of the sentiments with Versamark Ink and heat embossed it with Hero Arts Gold embossing Powder. I layered one of the white sentiments behind it and attached it to my blue card with glue. I layered the remaining two sentiments together and glued them to the red version.
I adhered each panel on to a white card panel and then adhered them to their card bases. For the red, I used Simon Says Stamp School House Red and Catherine Poolers white for the blue. I didn’t add any other embellishments.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope to post again soon.
