Water Coloring with CP Ink Refills

Hi Everyone! Today I have a clean and simple card, which I rarely do.  I am kind of a technique junkie. But, sometimes you have to switch it up.

I used the same stamp I used on my last blog post, the Simon Says Stamp and Clearly Besotted Magnificent Magnolia from Stamptember.  I  put the stamps in my MISTI and stamped it on some Canson Watercolor  paper.  I used the blossom and the bud for this card share.  I stamped several times with Versamark ink and heat embossed with WOW! white embossing powder.

I then took out some of my refills from @catherinepooler. I used Grass Skirt and Garden Party for the leaves, then Pixie Dust, Sweet Sixteen and Flirty Fuchsia for the bloom and bud.  I put 1 drop of refill ink in my palette and add half a squirt from my Distress sprayer for each of the colors.

I first painted the entire image with the lightest colors, Garden Party for the stem and leaves, Sweet Sixteen for the blossoms. I let it dry naturally and then came in with the next shades, Grass Skirt and Pixie Dust.  Again, I let it dry naturally.  Finally, I added Flirty Fuchsia for a deeper shadow.

Once everything dried, I stamped my sentiment using Simon Says Stamp Intense Black ink.  My sentiment was from the Mama Elephant  Heart In Bloom stamp set.  I liked how it had a slight curve to it.

To finish off the card, I added Pretty Pink Posh 4mm Clear Crystal Drops. I trimmed about 1/4 of an inch off of the card and mounted it on a A2 size card base.
