Baby Shower Card

Helloooooooo!

Spring has sprung in Minneapolis! Hallelujah! I still have a bit of snow but we hit 60 degrees. We had not seen that since October. It’s nice to have customers in a good mood again.

For todays card, I made a baby shower card using Mama Elephants New Family stamp set and co-ordinating dies. This is an older set, but it is my favorite for Baby Shower cards. This card was inspired by a card I saw Nichol Spohr do several years ago.

I started out stamping the images with Ink On 3 Fade Out Ink. I colored my images using Prismacolor Colored Pencils. I blended them with Gamsol. I usually do not use it, but I colored my images very lightly and wanted a good blend.

To color the bunnies, I used PC 1051, PC1068 and PC 1013. For the bottle, I used PC 1012, PC 942 and PC 1050. Foe the present, I used PC 928 and PC 1014.

Once I finished coloring the images, I cut out my card panel from 110lb Recollections card stock and used My Favorite Things Blue Print Sketch #27 die. I cut the clouds out using Lawn Fawns Puffy Cloud Border die, one cloud out of white card stock and one cloud out of vellum. I also cut a border on the clouds using Blue Print Sketch #27 to match up the scalloped edges.

On the card panel, I colored the background using It’s A Girl ink from Catherine Pooler and Honey Bee’s Outdoor Scene Builder stencil. I then sprayed the background and both clouds with Shimmerz spray. I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set using Catherine Poolers Twighlight ink.

To assemble the card, I put 3M foam tape on the back of the card panel. I used Be Creative tape to adhere the white cloud to the card panel and I ran my vellum through my Xyron 5 sticker maker to add adhesive to the back of the entire cloud. I lined up the scalloped edges when adhering the card. I then took my Gina K Connect glue to add the bunnies and the bottle and present. I adhered my card panel to a top fold card base and that completed my card.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed todays card share. See you soon!

Patty
