Welcome April!
March was so busy that it flew by. I had events every weekend. I am looking forward to being crafty this coming weekend.
For todays cards, I used Simon Says Stamp Filigree Egg and Filigree Bunny dies as well as Lawn Fawn’s Stitched rectangle die for the cards. As soon as I saw these dies, I knew they needed to come live at my house!
I created these cards the same way I created a card I posted about last week; I embossed a card panel with each die, colored them with my Copics and then cut the images out with the die and used Distress Inks to color the cover panel.
As I said, I embossed the dies on some 110lb card stock. I believe I used Recollections cardstock. Once embossed, I colored the embossed images with Copics.
For the leaves, I used YG17 and YG 23. For the pink flowers, I used RV10 and RV55. For the yellow flowers, I used Y06 and Y19. For the red flowers I used R22 and R24. I used R24 for the red dots as well. For the blue dots, I used B14 and B26.
Once the embossed cards were colored, I took two more card panels and covered one in Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry and one panel in Distress Oxide Mermaid Lagoon.I sprayed each panel with my Distress sprayer and blotted off the water. I then die cut the card panel using the Filigree dies and the second largest stitched rectangle die from Lawn Fawn.
I put adhesive around the embossed colored images and covered them with the Distress Oxide panel. I adhered fun foam to the back of the panels and then adhered the entire project to a side fold A2 card.
I finished the project off by adding Nuvo Crystal Drops in Midnight Blue and Carnation Pink. I added the Happy Easter sentiment from Simon Says Stamps Some Bunny stamp set.
This completes today’s card share. I hope you enjoyed todays post.
See you soon!
