Hi Everyone!
Today I am sharing a card I made using a supply I have neglected…my Altenew Alcohol Markers.
With this being the first time I have colored a flower while using these markers, I thought it would be more difficult. These markers were wonderful to use and the colors blend beautifully!
I used Power Poppy by Marcella Hawley’s Dahlia XL Stamp set for this card. I really thought this would be practice, so I stamped the flower using Ink on 3’s Fade Out ink on Recollections 110lb card stock.
I colored the Dahlia using Altenew Alcohol Markers R437, R614, R603 and R601. I colored using the entire petal in the lightest color, then creating the shadows. I flicked lines on the petals as well just to have some faint striations.
For the leaves, I used G702, G554 and G715. I colored the entire leaf with the lightest color, flicked lines out from the center with the medium shade and did a similar technique for the darkest shade.
I cut the card panel out using the largest stitched rectangle die from Lawn Fawn. I cut the flower out and popped it up on foam tape to add a little dimension. For the sentiment, I used Versamark ink and Wow!Lime Rickey embossing powder.
I adhered my card panel to a top folding card base using my EZ Runner, which finished my card. I decided to keep it simple and not add additional embellishment, the flower is so beautifully drawn, it should stand alone.
Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed today’s card share!
Patty
