Stay Cool!

Hello!

Today I am sharing a card made using Catherine Pooler’s “I Scream You Scream” stamp set. It has this darling ice cream truck and accompanying treats.  I decided to start with the treats but will be coloring that truck in an aqua tone very soon.2BC59E4F-0746-426A-8B0A-96A5F1753840

I started by getting my MISTI set up with the 4 inch GinaK Wreath Builder. I cut a 4 inch by 5.5 inch card panel.  I put a small “x” in the upper right corner so I would remember to keep that corner in the wreath builder at all times.

I set the popsicle stamp where I wanted it and began stamping using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and rotating my card panel.  I then added the ice cream cone, the bomb pop, the watermelon treat (I have never seen one), the cherry and finally, the stars.

I colored the popsicle using V12, V15 and V17.  I colored the ice cream using YG06 and G45. For the cone, I used E50, E53 and E57. For the watermelon, I used R37, R32 and R30. For the rind I used YG17, YG00 and G14. For the cherries, I used R30 and R37.

For the blue section on the bomb pop, I used B12, B14 and B16.  For the white I used C1 and C00.  For the red I used R37, R32 and R30.  For the stars, I used V12, V15 and V17.

For the sentiment, I used V12 and colored a scrap of cardstock.  I cut it out using Hero Arts Infinity Dies Circles. I stamped the sentiment and colored in the Cool using V15. For the background, I outlined the images with C4.  I then went over the outline with C2 and colored over that with C00.

I colored the sentiment circle and all of the treats with clear Wink of Stella.  I adhered the card panel to a Catherine Pooler card base and my card was complete.

Thank you for stopping by.  I hope you enjoyed this summer treat card!
