I have completed my Valentines Day cards for 2021. I made several different styles. For three of the cards, I used backgrounds that I had foiled previously. They worked perfectly for these cards.
For my first two cards, I used Peeking Pets from Catherine Pooler Designs and created shaker cards. The brown dog is representing our grand puppy, Beau. The black dog is representing our large mix, Dudley.
For Beau, I used a previously created Dotted Bursts background that I created using Deco Foil Transfer Gel Due on Heidi Swap pink foil (see January 25th blog post). I used the CPD Instant Happy die to create the Polaroid look and the sentiment is from GinaK’s Friendship Hearts stamp set. I used Kitchen Sink Sequins to fill the shaker. I colored Beau using Copic markers E59, E57 and E55.
For Dudley, I used the same background for the inside of the shaker, but went over it with Suede Shoes Ink. I used the same Instant Happy die. For the card panel, I used Rockin’ Red and Samba Inks on the Polka Heart stencil. I colored Dudley using Copic markers N7, N8 and N10. I cut the stenciled heart out using the largest Postage Stamp die. These are all Catherine Pooler Design products.
The next set of cards I made using foils as well.
For these two cards, I previously created the backgrounds using CPD’s Love Notes background stamp, Deco Foil Transfer Gel and I believe Iridescent Thermo Web Foil(see January 25th blog post). I inked over the backgrounds using It’s A Girl and Pucker Up for the pink and Rockin’ Red and Cranberry Fizz for the red.
To finish my pink card, I die cut the Simon Says Stamp You Are Loved die out 3 times and glued together. I cut the shadow out of vellum and attached it to the card using my Xyron 5” sticker maker. I attached the words to the vellum and added Glossy Accents on top of them. I used the hearts from CPD’s Essential Slim Line die. I trimmed the edges and added the card panel to my card base.
For the red card, I used Simon Says Stamps Shimmer Heart Die. I embossed the die on white card stock with my die cutting machine, then colored the petals with Copic Markers. I cut out the Shimmer Heart on some white card-stock and glued it over the embossed piece. I put Nuvo Crystal Gems in the center of the flower .
Finally, I made this white card.

I started by embossing a 4 by 5.25” card panel with the Darice Background Hearts embossing folder. I created the heart the same way I created the heart on the red card. I added Glossy Accents to these flower petals and Nuvo Crystal Gems to the center of the florals.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Happy Valentines Day!
