Getting Back in the Creative Groove

Since April, I have been so busy with other projects, my card making had to take a back seat. WE had a bridal shower and my daughters wedding, yard work, I took on extra responsibilities at work and we needed to help out my MIL with projects around the house. I was excited to make time to start the 30 Day coloring challenge. At first, this was going to just be a practice piece, but I liked how it was turning out, so I added flowers along the top and turned it into a card,

I used Catherine Pooler’s Beautiful Beginnings stamp set to make my card. It is also a great stamp set for Bullet Journaling!

I stamped my design out in Catherine Pooler’s Twighlight ink. It is one of my favorite inks for coloring…you can see the lines, but it’s not as bold as black ink. After I stamped my images, I colored them in using my Copic E50. It makes the colored pencils blend easier, in my opinion, but the tooth of the paper is still intact.

Twighlight Ink and Copic E 50

After I had everything covered with Copic ink, I started coloring with my Prismacolor Colored Pencils.

For the red flowers, I used PC 926, PC 122, PC 930 and PC 923.

I had scattered yellow sequins all around, but I decided I preferred white space. It is something I am working on. I don’t have to have color on every inch of the card.

Thanks for stopping by! I definitely have more posts planned for the future!
