Hi Everyone! Are we enjoying all of our severe weather and blizzards? I am not! The beauty of this is that it is April and the snow will melt soon. The severe weather will continue on.
Here is a link to the You Tube Video I made for this card:
For today’s card, I made a clean and simple card for the AAA Cards card challenge. Clean and simple is a new concept for me, I love bold colors and I enjoy coloring and shading. I must admit, I really enjoyed making this card!
I used a stamp set from Stamptember; Altenew’s Dainty Sprig. While this set is not available any longer, Altenew has a similar sets available that will work just as well: Dainty Bouquet, Amazing You, Dotted Blooms and Flower Vine, just to name a few.
To start, I stamped the image with Versamark ink and heat embossed the sprig using Rangers Seafoam White embossing powder on black cardstock from Simon Says Stamp. The black card panel is A2 sized.
I primed my Gansai Tambi Starry Colors with my Distress Sprayer and started painting the petals with Champagne Gold. I did not paint the image all the way to the edges, I left a little black between the embossed line and the paint. I painted the buds with the Blue Gold as well as the floral centers and the leaves with the White gold. I came back in with the Red Gold paint to add some depth to the flower petals.
I then took a very small paintbrush and added dots all around the image using all of the colors listed above.
I heat embossed my sentiment with the Seafoam White embossing powder using Versamark ink. I then trimmed a little off of my card panel so that I had a border around my panel when I attached it to my card base.
I attached my card to a white, A2 size card base using my EZ Runner tape runner and called the card complete.
Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!
